A theatre educator since 1997, Jamie joined TIE (Theatrical Intimacy Education) as affiliate faculty and a high school specialist in 2022. As a career educator, she has taught acting, directing, musical theatre, technical theatre, special needs theatre, theatre production, and the International Baccalaureate theatre curriculum in her 26 years in the classroom.
A once full-time actress, Jamie has toured the U.S. in the regional tours of SOUTH PACIFIC and CINDERELLA. She has performed on some of the most prestigious stages in our area including Broadway Dallas, Casa Manana, Bass Hall, Theatre Three, Lyric Stage, & Dallas Children’s Theatre. Jamie continues to maintain her professional directing career locally in addition to presenting acting, directing and intimacy workshops around the country. In 2020, she was named “Teacher of the Year” at the highly ranked high school where she teaches. Other awards and achievements include: Distinguished Teacher Awards, Column Award - Best Actress, UIL OAP achievements, numerous student awards and nominations from the Betty Lynn Buckley Awards, the Broadway Dallas High School Musical Theatre Awards, and the Schmidt and Jones awards, and accolades for her work in educational theatre. In 2005 Jamie was honored with the Baynard H. Friedman HERO AWARD and named OUTSTANDING THEATRE TEACHER OF THE YEAR in North Texas at the Betty Lynn Buckley Awards.
Jamie Pringle earned membership to the Actors Equity Association in 1999 and the Texas Educational Theatre Association in 1997. Holds a BFA in Theatre Performance from the University of Texas at Arlington.
