Bart williams (HE/Him)


Southeast Missouri State University

Bart Williams (he, his), is an educator, director, choreographer, and performer. He was the former Managing Director of the Michigan Shakespeare Festival. He holds an MFA from Wayne State University’s Hilberry Theatre, an MA from the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) and a Master of Performance in Musical Theatre from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS). In addition to being an Associate Instructor in training with TIE, Bart currently is the Workshop Coordinator and an instructor with Dueling Arts International (DAI). Before joining Southeast’s Missouri State’s faculty, he has been a dialect and accent instructor for Roosevelt University’s Theatre Conservatory at the Chicago College of Performing Arts. Bart was mentored by Stratford’s former Head of Movement, John Broome, Head of Voice and Movement, Jeanine Pearson, and former artistic director Richard Monette. He is a member of AEA, SAG-AFTRA, VASTA, BADC, BASSC, FDC, SAFD, SDC, and Vocal Process and continues training with Knight-Thompson Speechwork and Patsy Rodenburg.
