While getting her BFA in Acting at Florida State University, Alison began to study and practice intimacy and fight choreography. She worked with the FSU School of Theatre, College of Motion Picture Arts, and Opera on over 20 productions in two years. She went on to do intimacy coordination for companies such as Pastel and A24 before deciding to channel her energy and interest in consent, interpersonal dynamics, and mental health into the field of Social Work. During graduate school, Alison worked as both a victim advocate and mental health counselor for university students and deepened her study of sexuality, substance use, trauma, and mediation. Alison graduated in May 2024 with a Master of Social Work from Colorado State University and now works in Fort Collins, Colorado as a clinical social worker doing therapy with youth and their families. Alison has been teaching Mental Health First Aid for TIE since 2021 and is excited to be continue supporting TIE in various educational capacities.
