Starting out as an intern in 2019, Alexia Buckner has grown into the Assistant Faculty role with Theatrical Intimacy Education. Alexia was born and raised in Memphis, TN, graduated with a B.F.A in Musical Theatre from Southeast Missouri State in 2020, and is currently based in Roanoke, Virginia. As passionate as she is about the performing arts, her passion has equally been encompassed by the learnings, engagement, and development in cultural competency and color-conscious casting to support intersectional groups. She hopes to continue this path of advocating for black and minority voices in the intimacy and performing arts industry.
